Introduction

April is a big month for fetish in Vancouver, with all of the regular events and the annual Rubbout Fetish Weekend for men. Plus this month we’re happy to be able to list, for the first time, Rope Night under the calendar of events. This monthly gathering has been happening for quite some time, but until now it’s been a semi-private event. However, in the face of many requests from those who simply can’t get enough of rope, the organizer has opened it up.

So this month be sure to get your kink on at some of the exciting events happening in Vancouver. And, of course, we hope that NOIR Fetish Ball will be one of them.

The next NOIR Fetish Ball happens on Saturday, April 21^st. After a scheduling mix up in March, NOIR returns to the third Saturday of the month in April.  So join us for the kinksters’ fetish night, NOIR Fetish Ball at The Cobalt, for another decadent night of drinking, dancing and dungeon delights.

Rubbout XXI

Vancouver’s longest running kink event takes place April 5-8. Lauded by many attendees as on its way to becoming one of the best weekends for fetish in North America, this weekend party for men expands to four days in 2012.

Frankie Pankie’s Plight and Plea

Frankie Pankie, NOIR Fetish Ball’s resident photographer, and one of Vancouver’s favourite kinksters, is looking to get some new gear, and he needs your help.

Photographers at local events these days do what they do as a labour of love: the unfortunate reality of having free pictures available online is that very few people buy physical prints. Frankie wants to continue to making Vancouver’s kinky people look their best, and he’d like to tell you how you can help him do that. Taboo Sex Fraser Valley Back On

You’ve likely heard that the Taboo Sex Show planned for the Fraser Valley in late March was cancelled, but in the face of community support for the event it’s back on for the weekend of May 11-13, and the various groups that put on the dungeon here in Vancouver, including NOIR Fetish Ball, are excited to once again be a part of it.

With all the effort we put into getting the word out we hope you’re already aware that the March NOIR has been moved the the 24th. We didn’t run on the third Saturday of the month, as usual, because of a conflict with The Cobalt’s St. Patrick’s party.

Damn those leperchauns, they mess up everything.

Introduction

March is here, and it’s another busy month in the kink scene in Vancouver. Just a glance through the calendar that you’ll find at the end of this newsletter will show you how much is happening on the Lower Mainland and in Victoria. It’s a busy month for NOIR as well—particularly for our equipment. In addition to the NOIR Fetish Ball on Saturday, March 17th, our gear will see action this Friday at the inaugural Kink Underground Fetish Revue in Victoria. Then on Thursday, March 15 it’s Bloody Betty’s Fetish Show at the Cobalt—we promise to make her clean it all  well before any Noirites use it on the Saturday at The NOIR Fetish Ball.

Then at the end of March you’ll find some of the gang from NOIR out at The Taboo Sex Show in the Fraser Valley. We’ll be manning (and womanning) the dungeon alongside Sin City, MVK and Fetish Fridays.

Kink in Victoria

As we already said, Vancouver isn’t the only place to get your kink on. Victoria also offers a great community, and this month features something old and something new.

First up this Friday, March 2 it’s the brand new fetish event Kink Underground Fetish Revue at Paparazzi Nightclub. Featuring DJ Dave Dirk, fire play by Lady Luscious, rope suspension by KnottyRope and photography by Fetish Dynasty it promises to be a night to remember. See their website for even more info.

Then just over a week later the fabulous folks at Sagacity bring you A Decade of Domlander. That’s right, British Columbia’s silliest, kinkiest event turns ten. As you’ll know, from February’s NOIR newsletter, there’s a new resource website in Vancouver for those kinkily-inclined. Fetish nights, dungeon parties, swingers events, sex shops – while it’s still in beta and so is not complete, you name it and eventually you’ll hopefully find it here. But right now it’s largely a two man show, and to reach its full potential it’s going to need more contributors.
