There are only a few days remaining until TOGA TOGA TOGA! A party in support of PACE on Friday June 3rd. Presented & supported by members of NOIR, Sin City & Restricted Entertainment! It’s a party destined to be a classic, if you’ll pardon the pun. Featuring DJ Logik and dj://spaz spinning tunes, a gladiator battle, burlesque performances by Maggie Pie and Whatshername early in the evening, and most importantly lots and lots of togas! All of this MCed by Aeden Saint of Queer FM and Fruit Salad Radio and Mr. Dark.

Please note that this is not a fetish party, nor is it directly a NOIR or Sin City event, but features many members of all these teams donating their time as promoters, performers, DJs, artists, MC’s and forces of good will coming together to help raise funds for an eminently worthwhile cause while throwing a kick ass party!

WHERE DOES ALL THE FUN HAPPEN?

At the NEW Cobalt. For those of you who haven’t been there in the past year the bar is under new management and is no longer the leaky, creaky venue of old. It’s also the regular home of the monthly parties NOIR Fetish Ball and Glamour Trash presented by Restricted Entertainment!

It’s located only a few blocks from the Main Street/Science World Skytrain station and there is free parking in the back.

WHERE  CAN  I  GET  TICKETS?

We’re glad you asked. Advance tickets are available at the following stores:

  • Deadly Couture (A-317 Cambie, Vancouver – below Venus & Mars)
  • Little Sister’s (1238 Davie Street, Vancouver)
  • PRIAPE (1148 Davie Street, Vancouver)

And tickets are of course available at the door.

ARE TOGAS MANDATORY?

You don’t have to wear a toga, but why wouldn’t you want to? Nothing says you’re into a party like showing up in a toga. And nothing beats a couple of hundred people showing up in togas, exercising their rights as citizens to party!

Plus there will be prizes for both the best men’s and women’s togas.

BUT I DON’T KNOW HOW TO MAKE A TOGA?

You’re in luck. This link will take you to an unaffiliated site that has all the dos and don’ts of making a toga: How To Make A Toga.

To make a proper toga you’ll want to use a long piece of fabric rather than a sheet. Any fabric shop will do, but as most regular fetish night attendees you’ll find some great prices, along with some great costume accessories, at Dressew which is located at 337 W. Hastings Street, Vancouver.

WHAT’S THE GOOD CAUSE I’M CONTRIBUTING TO?

PACE is a sex worker led and driven organization offering low-barrier programming, support and safe respite for survival sex workers in Vancouver. If you’d like to know more about them you can visit the PACE website. They are also the charity of choice for both NOIR Fetish Ball and Mr. Dark’s Sin City parties.

DO I NEED TO RSVP?

You certainly don’t! But if you’d like to you can on facebook at the TOGA TOGA TOGA! event listing.
